When I was a kid, I went through a phase of lying, I would lie about anything and everything, even when it was so obvious I had done something. I learned the hard way, it was almost a ‘ boy who cried wolf’ scenario. I had lied so often that when I was actually telling the truth, no-one believed me. So my parents said to me that if I started telling the truth, that they would look kindly on any punishment I would receive depending on what I had done. I soon realised the importance of honesty, something I still hold valuable today.
